Our Lady of Meritxell<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"4817\" data-end=\"4975\">After breakfast, we leave Zaragoza and travel north as the landscape gradually changes from the plains of Arag\u00f3n to the magnificent peaks of the <strong data-start=\"4962\" data-end=\"4974\">Pyrenees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4977\" data-end=\"5107\">We enter the Principality of <strong data-start=\"5006\" data-end=\"5017\">Andorra<\/strong>, one of Europe&#8217;s smallest countries, hidden among the mountains between Spain and France.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5109\" data-end=\"5241\">The spiritual heart of our visit will be the <strong data-start=\"5154\" data-end=\"5201\">Sanctuary Basilica of Our Lady of Meritxell<\/strong>, dedicated to the Patroness of Andorra.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5243\" data-end=\"5588\">The devotion to <strong data-start=\"5259\" data-end=\"5284\">Our Lady of Meritxell<\/strong> has been deeply rooted in Andorran life for centuries. The original Romanesque sanctuary was largely destroyed by fire in 1972, after which a striking modern sanctuary was constructed alongside it.
