This pilgrimage invites Catholic groups from the United States to experience southern Spain through faith, history and living tradition.
We begin in Córdoba, where the monumental Mosque-Cathedral reveals centuries of religious and architectural transformation. From there, we continue to Seville, one of the great Catholic cities of Spain, home to its magnificent Cathedral, the Giralda and a deeply rooted tradition of confraternities, Marian devotion and public expressions of faith.
Our journey then takes us to El Rocío, where we encounter Our Lady of El Rocío — the beloved Blanca Paloma — and one of the most distinctive Marian pilgrimage traditions in Europe.
We also discover the Atlantic heritage of Huelva and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, lands deeply connected with the voyages that linked Spain with the Americas.
Finally, we turn east toward Andújar, Jaén, Úbeda and Baeza, where Marian devotion, Renaissance architecture and the layered history of Iberians, Romans, Muslims, Jews and Christians come together.
It is a pilgrimage designed for parishes seeking to encounter Catholic Spain beyond the best-known routes, while also enjoying the extraordinary artistic, historical and cultural richness of Andalusia.

Proposed Itinerary
Day 1 — USA – Madrid
Our Pilgrimage Begins
At the appropriate time, we will meet at our designated U.S. departure airport and board our overnight transatlantic flight to Madrid, Spain.
Meals and refreshments will be served according to the airline’s schedule.
Overnight flight to Europe.
Day 2 — Madrid – Córdoba – Seville
Welcome to Andalusia
Upon arrival in Madrid, we will be welcomed by our local team and accompanying guide.
Depending on the final transportation arrangements, we will continue south toward Córdoba, where we begin our discovery of Andalusia.
Accompanied by a local guide, we will visit the extraordinary Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, one of the most remarkable monuments in Spain.
The building preserves layers of history that reflect the Islamic and Christian periods of the city, making it a powerful place for understanding the religious and cultural complexity of medieval Spain.
Depending on arrival time, our visit may also include a walk through the historic center and Jewish Quarter.
After lunch, we continue toward Seville.

The extent of today’s sightseeing will be adapted according to the group’s international arrival time.
Day 3 — Seville
Catholic Seville & the Heart of Andalusia
After breakfast, we dedicate the day to Seville, one of the most important historic and religious cities of southern Spain.
Our guided visit may include some of the city’s most emblematic landmarks, beginning with the magnificent Cathedral of Seville and its famous Giralda.
The Cathedral is one of the great Gothic churches of Europe and stands at the heart of Seville’s Catholic identity.
We may also visit the Royal Alcázar, whose architecture reflects centuries of Islamic, Christian and royal history.
Depending on the interests of the group, additional visits may be incorporated to explore Seville’s churches, Marian devotions and famous religious confraternities.
Subject to ecclesiastical arrangements, Holy Mass may be celebrated at a local church.
Time will be provided for personal exploration before returning to the hotel.

Day 4 — Seville – El Rocío – Doñana – Seville
Our Lady of El Rocío
Today we travel toward El Rocío, one of the great centers of popular Marian devotion in Spain.
At the heart of the village stands the Sanctuary of Our Lady of El Rocío, home to the image affectionately known as the Blanca Paloma — the White Dove.
Each year, confraternities and pilgrims from throughout Andalusia and beyond travel toward El Rocío, creating one of the most distinctive pilgrimage traditions in the Catholic world.
We will have time to visit the sanctuary, pray and learn about the history of this deeply rooted Marian devotion.
Subject to arrangements, we may also celebrate Holy Mass during our visit.
Depending on the season, access conditions and the interests of the group, the day may also incorporate an excursion or panoramic experience in the Doñana area, known for its extraordinary wetlands, wildlife and landscapes.
Return to Seville.

Day 5 — Seville – Huelva – Sanlúcar de Barrameda – Seville
Andalusia & the Atlantic World
After breakfast, we travel west toward Huelva.
Situated near the confluence of the Tinto and Odiel rivers, Huelva has long been connected with maritime trade and the history of Spain’s encounter with the Americas.
During our visit, we will discover some of the city’s principal landmarks while learning about the region’s historical importance.
The wider Huelva area is also closely associated with the voyages of exploration that departed toward the New World, offering a particularly meaningful historical connection for American pilgrims.
We then continue toward Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a beautiful town at the mouth of the Guadalquivir River.
Our exploration may include the historic upper town, with its narrow streets, whitewashed façades and monuments such as the Ducal Palace of Medina Sidonia and the Basilica of Our Lady of Charity.
Time permitting, we may also explore the lower town and its traditional streets and plazas.
Return to Seville.

Day 6 — Seville – Andújar – Jaén
Marian Devotion & the Interior of Andalusia
After breakfast, we leave Seville and travel toward Andújar.
Here we will discover the historic city and its deep connection with Marian devotion in the Sierra de Andújar.
Depending on the final program, groups may also choose to incorporate the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Cabeza, one of Spain’s historic Marian pilgrimage destinations.
We then continue toward Jaén.
This ancient city reflects the many cultures that have shaped southern Spain over the centuries, including Iberian, Roman, Islamic, Jewish and Christian influences.
Accompanied by a local guide, we will explore the historic center and its principal monuments, with the possibility of visiting the magnificent Cathedral of Jaén, one of the great works of the Spanish Renaissance.

Day 7 — Jaén – Úbeda – Baeza – Madrid
Renaissance Andalusia
After breakfast, we travel toward Úbeda and Baeza, two extraordinary Renaissance cities recognized together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Their historic centers preserve one of the finest concentrations of Renaissance architecture in Spain.
In Úbeda, we will admire elegant plazas, churches and civic buildings that reflect the city’s prosperity and artistic development during the 16th century.
We then continue to Baeza, whose golden stone streets, churches and monumental squares create one of the most beautiful historic ensembles in Andalusia.
Time will be provided to explore these cities and, depending on arrangements, enjoy lunch in the region.
Afterward, we begin our journey toward Madrid.

Day 8 — Madrid – USA
Return Home
After breakfast, at the appropriate time, transfer to Madrid International Airport for our return flight to the United States.
We return home after a journey through the spiritual, historical and cultural heart of Andalusia.
From the sacred architecture of Córdoba and Seville to the living Marian tradition of El Rocío, from the Atlantic history of Huelva and Sanlúcar to the Renaissance beauty of Úbeda and Baeza, we carry with us a deeper understanding of the faith and history that have shaped southern Spain.
