Across Bohemia, Bavaria, Austria and Hungary, medieval saints, Benedictine monasteries, Marian shrines, imperial cathedrals and magnificent Baroque churches tell the story of a Christian civilization that helped shape Europe for more than a thousand years.

This pilgrimage journeys from Prague to Budapest, connecting some of Central Europe’s greatest Catholic treasures: the Infant Jesus of Prague, the tomb and legacy of St. Wenceslaus, the great Bavarian Marian shrine of Altötting, Benedictine Salzburg, Our Lady of Mariazell, the abbeys of Melk and Pannonhalma, St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna and the Catholic heritage of Budapest. The source itinerary follows precisely this spiritual arc through Prague, Altötting, Salzburg, Mariazell, Vienna and Budapest.

But this is also one of Europe’s great cultural journeys.

We cross the Eastern Alps and the Danube, encounter the worlds of Mozart and the Habsburgs, walk through Prague’s medieval streets, discover Salzburg’s Baroque beauty, experience imperial Vienna and finish beside the Danube in Budapest.
