Day 1 — USA – Madrid

Departure for Spain

At the appropriate time, meet at our designated U.S. departure airport and board our overnight transatlantic flight to Madrid, Spain.

Day 2 — Arrival in Madrid

Welcome to Spain

Upon arrival in Madrid, we will be welcomed by our local team and transferred to our hotel.

After check-in, the remainder of the day will be available to rest following the international journey.

In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner, beginning our pilgrimage together in a spirit of faith and Christian fellowship.

Day 3 — Madrid

Our Lady of Almudena & the Spanish Capital

After breakfast, we begin our discovery of Madrid with a guided tour of the historic center.

We will visit or see some of the capital’s most important landmarks, including Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and the Royal Palace.

Our principal religious visit will be the Cathedral of Santa María la Real de la Almudena, dedicated to the patroness of Madrid.

The afternoon will be free for personal exploration, shopping or optional additional visits. Depending on the group’s wishes and liturgical arrangements, Holy Mass can be incorporated into the program.

Day 4 — Madrid – Toledo

The Spiritual Capital of Historic Spain

Today we travel to Toledo, one of the most extraordinary historic cities in Europe and for centuries one of the great centers of Catholic life in Spain.

Our guided visit will take us through its remarkable historic center, dominated by the magnificent Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo, the Primatial Cathedral of Spain and one of the masterpieces of Gothic sacred architecture.

We will also visit the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, commissioned by the Catholic Monarchs, and see the imposing Alcázar of Toledo.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

An important part of today’s program will be the opportunity to celebrate Holy Mass in Toledo, subject to church confirmation and liturgical availability.

Day 5 — Toledo – Valencia

From Castile to the Mediterranean

After breakfast, we leave Toledo and travel east toward Valencia.

Following lunch en route, we arrive in this historic Mediterranean city and enjoy an introductory panoramic or walking tour of its historic center.

Depending on arrival time and the group’s interests, additional visits may be arranged.

Valencia is itself one of the most important Eucharistic destinations in Spain because its Cathedral preserves the Holy Chalice, traditionally venerated as the cup used by Jesus Christ at the Last Supper. A visit to the Holy Chalice can therefore be incorporated into this itinerary and is strongly recommended for groups following a Eucharistic pilgrimage route.

Day 6 — Valencia – Caravaca de la Cruz – Valencia

The Vera Cruz & Eucharistic Faith

After breakfast, we travel south to the remarkable pilgrimage city of Caravaca de la Cruz.

Caravaca is one of the few cities in the Catholic world granted the privilege of celebrating a Perpetual Jubilee, centered upon devotion to the Santísima y Vera Cruz de Caravaca.

At the Sanctuary Basilica, pilgrims can venerate the famous reliquary containing a fragment traditionally associated with the True Cross upon which Jesus Christ was crucified.

Caravaca’s spiritual importance, however, goes beyond its Jubilee tradition. Its religious history also contains a powerful tradition connecting the Eucharist and the Cross, making it especially meaningful within this route.

We will have time to visit the sanctuary, pray before the Vera Cruz and discover the sacred traditions associated with Caravaca.

Lunch en route and return to Valencia.

Day 7 — Valencia – Moncada – Alboraya & Almàssera – Valencia

The Eucharistic Miracles of Valencia

Today we explore several of the lesser-known but fascinating Eucharistic pilgrimage destinations surrounding Valencia.

Our first visit takes us to Moncada, where we will learn about the local Eucharistic tradition and visit the sacred places associated with it.

We then continue toward Alboraya and Almàssera, neighboring communities connected by another historic Eucharistic tradition that has remained part of the religious memory of the area.

These places allow pilgrims to encounter a different dimension of Catholic Spain: not only monumental cathedrals and internationally famous sanctuaries, but local communities where devotion to the Blessed Sacrament has been preserved across generations.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we return to Valencia.

The afternoon will be free to explore the city center. Groups that have not yet visited the Holy Chalice in Valencia Cathedral may incorporate the visit this afternoon.

Day 8 — Valencia – Daroca – Zaragoza

The Sacred Corporals of Daroca

After breakfast, we leave Valencia and travel north toward Daroca, home to one of Spain’s most celebrated medieval Eucharistic traditions.

Here we encounter the extraordinary story of the Sacred Corporals of Daroca, associated with a Eucharistic miracle traditionally dated to the 13th century.

The corporals associated with the event became objects of profound Eucharistic veneration and drew pilgrims from across the Christian world.

We will visit the places connected with the miracle and have time for prayer and reflection upon the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

After lunch, we continue to Zaragoza.

Day 9 — Zaragoza

Our Lady of the Pillar & Eucharistic Zaragoza

Today we visit one of the most important Marian sanctuaries in the Catholic world: the magnificent Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar.

According to ancient Christian tradition, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared here to St. James the Greater while he was evangelizing Hispania, encouraging him in his apostolic mission.

We will have time to pray before the image of Our Lady of the Pillar and discover the spiritual significance of this extraordinary sanctuary.

Our program will also incorporate the places associated with Zaragoza’s Eucharistic heritage, according to the final arrangements and church schedules.

After lunch, the afternoon will be free for personal prayer, exploration or optional visits to other sites such as La Seo Cathedral.

Day 10 — Zaragoza – Sigüenza – Madrid

Through Historic Castile

After breakfast, we begin our return toward Madrid, stopping in the beautiful historic town of Sigüenza.

Dominated by its medieval castle and impressive Cathedral of Santa María de Sigüenza, the town offers another opportunity to experience the religious and cultural heritage of Castile.

Depending on timing and the interests of the group, a guided visit of the Cathedral and historic center may be incorporated.

After lunch, we continue toward Madrid.

Day 11 — Madrid

Final Day & Farewell

Our final full day provides another opportunity to enjoy Madrid.

We will take a panoramic or walking tour through areas of the city not previously explored, followed by free time for shopping, personal visits or optional activities.

For groups wishing to conclude the pilgrimage spiritually, we can arrange a final Holy Mass or period of Eucharistic Adoration, subject to availability.

In the evening, we gather for a special farewell dinner at a traditional local restaurant, sharing our final evening as a pilgrimage community.

Day 12 — Madrid – USA

Return Home

After breakfast, transfer to Madrid International Airport for our return flight to the United States.

We return home after encountering the Eucharistic heritage of Spain, the Holy Cross of Caravaca, Our Lady of the Pillar and some of the country’s greatest churches and cathedrals, carrying with us a renewed appreciation for the mystery celebrated at every Holy Mass.

Return flight and end of our pilgrimage services.
