Base Program:
Day 1: Origin Airport – Nantes Airport – Vannes
Meet at the origin airport to catch our flight to Nantes. Upon arrival, we will transfer to Vannes. Dinner. Night in Vannes.
Day 2: Vannes
In the morning, we will celebrate the Eucharist at the Vannes Cathedral. We will also have the opportunity to visit the room in Valencia Square where Saint Vincent Ferrer died 600 years ago, whose remains rest in the city’s cathedral. We will have free time during the day to enjoy this town, characterized by its half-timbered houses. In the afternoon, we will visit one of the 42 islands in the Gulf of Morbihan (meaning “small sea”), the Island of the Monks, named after the monks of the Redon Abbey to whom the king of Brittany gave the island in the 9th century. It will be a beautiful boat ride. At the appointed time, we will return to the hotel. Full board. Night in Vannes.
Day 3: Vannes – Mont Saint Michel – Vannes
In the morning, we will go on an excursion to the Sacred place of Mont Saint Michel, a famous monastic complex and historical pilgrimage site erected on a sacred islet. Lunch. Return to Vannes where we will have free time in the city. Full board. Night in Vannes.
Day 4: Vannes – Nantes Airport – Valencia or Origin Airport
After breakfast, at the designated time, we will transfer to Nantes Airport to catch our flight. Arrival. End of the trip and our services.
In case of extension to Valencia, arrival in Valencia, dinner at the hotel, and free time.
Extension of 3 days to Valencia:
Day 5: Vannes – Airport – Valencia
After breakfast, we will transfer to Vannes Airport to take our flight to Valencia. Upon arrival at Valencia Airport, transfer to the city for lunch at a local restaurant where we can taste the internationally renowned Valencian paella. Then, we will visit another of Valencia’s most recognizable landmarks: a walk through the City of Arts and Sciences. At the agreed time, transfer to our hotel. Dinner and accommodation. Night in Valencia.
Day 6: Valencia
Breakfast and start of our visits to learn about the life of Saint Vincent in Valencia. We will begin by visiting his birthplace known as the “Pouet,” where a large painting by a Valencian painter and disciple of Goya is preserved. Then, we will go to the Church of St. Stephen where we will find the baptismal font where he was baptized. We will transfer to the Valencia Cathedral passing through the Basilica of the Virgin of the Forsaken to visit the chapel of St. Vincent Ferrer, the pulpit from which he preached, and the chapel of the Holy Chalice. Next, we will go to the Convent of the Dominicans where we will find his cell, now prepared as a chapel due to the large number of devotees. After that, we will visit the Basilica of San Vicente, a title granted by Pope Pius XII for the significance of the saint. Transfer to what is known as one of the saint’s works, his orphanage, which is the oldest orphanage in the world (1410) and still operates today, where we will have a meeting to learn about its mission. Transfer to our hotel. Dinner and accommodation. Night in Valencia.
Day 7: Valencia – Airport – Origin Point
Transfer to the airport to catch our flight. Arrival. End of the trip and our services.
