The Way of St. Teresa: A Walking Pilgrimage from Ávila to Alba de Tormes

Walk from the birthplace to the tomb of St. Teresa of Jesus on one of Spain’s hidden pilgrimage routes. Beginning in the walled city of Ávila, follow approximately 107 km through the quiet landscapes of Castile to Fontiveros, birthplace of St. John of the Cross; Duruelo, cradle of the Discalced Carmelite friars; and finally Alba de Tormes, where St. Teresa died and is buried. With luggage transfers, support vehicle, spiritual reflections and opportunities for daily Mass, The Way of St. Teresa transforms a historic trail into a walking Carmelite retreat.
